JOM Day - Newton's Law of Motion
Newton's first law states that an object will remain at rest or move at a constant speed in a straight line unless it is acted on by an unbalanced force. According to Newton's first law, an unbalanced force is needed to move the book on your desk. The unbalanced force in life is you, or in my case me. Things come up like work, family, and we get "side-tracked." However, there's always a way to get started again. The truth of the matter is that it is hard to get started. We're at rest, and just procrastinate. Just start. It's ok to get side-tracked, but just get up and get started again. Yeah, I guess I missed two days, but doesn't mean I should give up.
Thich Nhat Hanh - The most precious gift we can offer others is our presence. When our mindfulness embraces those we love, they will bloom like flowers.
Yeah, we shouldn't allow things get in our way, but please always remember that our journey should never allow us to push people down that's going in the same direction. We need to be able to enjoy the journey and find like minds. That's why we enjoy our hobby, because we don't need to be like minds, just like interest and hobby. This is the connection we have, and make us enjoy each others company.Don't focus on the 99% difference between you and I.
JOM Tip - Email Me Tips
Argh...I can't think of a tip today so if you have any good tips that you use for caregiving of your animals, or even for yourself and family (meaning people).
JOM News - We are at Fault
For a dollar, we will continue to do illegal stuff that will make us move into the direction of banning exotic pets. Sadly, we do need to police ourselves; but truthfully - if certain animals were not available to purchase (yes some blame on vendors) then I think we might be in a better situation. Buyers will always want animals that push the limit of the law, and also their capability of caring for them; whether it's financial or even the space needed to care for the animals properly.
I don't have a solution, but only can continue to gripe about these "wild" animals being released in the wild. Doesn't matter that there's thousands of caregivers doing the right thing, or even millions; one bad news makes us look like the "wild wild west." And very unfortunate is that the news don't want to cover good animal caregivers. So maybe there should be us, policing the internet and vendors that offering pets that they shouldn't. I don't know, it's just upsetting to know one day maybe my kids won't have the opportunity to care for the same animals we do now.
